Buying
How do I buy a gift card?
Register on the Platform, find a card you want, and click Buy Now. Enter your payment card details and click Pay. You receive the gift card code to your email and have 7 days to verify it works.
What if the gift card doesn't work?
Click Dispute on your order page and explain the issue. We will review the dispute and, if valid, fully refund the payment.
How long do I have to verify the card?
You have 7 days from purchase. If you neither confirm nor dispute within 7 days, the system automatically confirms and releases payment to the seller — so check promptly.
Do buyers pay any fees?
No. There are zero fees for buyers. You pay exactly the listed price and nothing more.
Can I buy multiple cards at once?
Yes — add cards to your cart and check out in one go.
Selling
How do I list a gift card?
Go to Sell a Card, select the retailer, enter the face value, set your asking price, and paste the card code. Your listing goes live after the card is verified by CardGift. The system ensures that the selling price cannot exceed the face value.
How much does it cost to sell?
We charge 7% of the gift card's face value. For example: a £100 face value card sold at £75 — our fee is £5.25 (7% of face value), you receive £69.75. Buyers pay nothing.
When do I get paid?
Funds are credited to your account balance after the buyer completes the verification period or confirms the card. You can withdraw your available balance to your registered payout card at any time, subject to successful identity verification (KYC).
What currencies are supported for payouts?
GBP, EUR, and USD — depending on the card you're selling.
Can I delete a listing?
Yes — go to My Cards and delete any ACTIVE or DRAFT listing at any time before it is purchased.
Safety & trust
Is CardGift safe?
Yes. Buyers can verify their card before confirming a purchase. Sellers receive funds only after the 7-day verification period expires. Any card that fails a check triggers a full refund through our dispute process.
Are the gift cards genuine?
Sellers are verified users who list real cards. Buyers have 7 days to check the code before funds are released. Any card that fails a check triggers a full refund through our dispute process.
What happens if there is a dispute?
Our support team reviews every dispute. We look at the evidence from both sides and make a fair decision — typically within 48 hours. Fraudulent sellers are banned and their listings removed.
How is my payment data protected?
We do not store full card numbers. All payment data is handled via our regulated processing partner with PCI-DSS compliance and 3D Secure authentication.
Account
Is registration free?
Yes, completely free. No subscription, no monthly fees.
Can I be both a buyer and a seller?
Yes — every registered account can both buy and sell gift cards.
How do I add a payout card?
Go to Profile and add a card under Payout cards. This is the card that receives your seller earnings.
I forgot my password — what do I do?
Click "Forgot password?" on the login page or in your profile section. Enter your email and we will send you a reset link.
